A comment on domestic servants...
It's a different culture.
That does not without a thought "ok" it, but keeps in mind that culture arises from the actual situation. People have money, people do not have money.
If a master is fair, the assistant is happy and loyal.
If the master is difficult, the assistant seems happy and loyal.
Class is more divided. Categorized is a good word.
All societies have differences, some are aware and recognize it, others do not.

true, while all societies have differences, it's impossible to tell which are "better". All have goods and bads too. While domestic servants are integrated into South Asian society, removing them isn't really an answer. Consider how many lives would be altered? How many incomes would be evaporated?
American values deem domestic servants 'unethical' yet as Americans we have the luxury of passing this judgment.
Right or wrong is a question best left to either God or the universe - whichever u believe came first.
